Where do you go to get out of your thoughts and into action?!
I go for a walk in nature! Recently on the path I realized, at a deep level, this is what self care looks like, feels like, sounds like, and smells like to me! 🙂
Seeing the trees and flowers bloom, bright green moss and lichen, turtles in a pond, and the occasional heart shaped rock. Feeling the sun and wind on my face. Touching soft moss (I love moss!) or a smooth rock that caught my eye. Hearing the sound my steps make on the gravel path. Listening to the birds chirp and geese flying overhead. Smelling the moist path beneath my feet and the blooming flowers.
Loving ALL that nature has to offer!
The result of Loving ALL that nature has to offer for me gets me present and provides peace and gives me the creative thoughts I need to take action! Out of my head and thoughts that often keep me in one place, stuck, and sometimes feeling lost!
What does self care look like to you? Maybe it’s going to the gym, eating healthy, meditation, connection with family and friends, or getting out in nature like me?!
What does self care feel like to you? Maybe it feels like an aching body from some form of movement, tired eyes from reading a book into the early morning hours, or relaxed?!
What does self care sound like to you? Maybe it sounds like a big group of family members gathered for a meal, silence, or knitting needles hitting each other?!
What does self care smell like to you? Maybe it smells like flowers blooming, a healthy meal you just cooked, or the great outdoors on your clothes after a long walk?!
