How often do you feel like you are not enough? How often do you tell yourself you are not enough? How often do you feel that if you only had more time, energy, or money you could accomplish ______?!…
Do we have too many expectations for ourselves? Do we have too many expectations for others? Does that lead to the feeling of not being or having enough, which then flows into the feeling that others aren’t enough, and then to the bigger feeling of there’s not enough time, energy, and money to…..
This has been a common theme for my life and as I talk with others I realize I’m not alone. I believe this is especially true for women or I simply know more women than men?… It’s no wonder as we set out each day juggling family, kids, kids activities, daycare, school, taking care of others, jobs, cars, transportation, homes, household needs, paying bills, pets, hobbies, spending time with friends, vacationing, many other things, and finally practicing self care if there’s time. Fitting in all the to dos we need to do and want to do can be challenging at times.
Do You Know You ARE Enough?!
I’d like to encourage you to think about and really believe that you are enough. Think about the idea of practicing sacred selfishness and putting self care at the top of your daily to do list. It’s been my experience that when I make self care a priority I have the energy and focus to complete my daily to do list while being my best for me, my family, friends, and bigger community. Leading to a feeling of I am enough, others are enough, and I have enough time, energy, and money to take care of the necessities of life while creating my best lifestyle, accomplishing my many goals, and reaching my bigger dreams. 🙂
