I recently visited a community and the place I called home for 23 years. It’s only been about a year since I moved from there. And in that time, even though I didn’t move far, I’ve only been back a few times. While visiting I made the decision to hike an area I went to countless times during the 23 years and felt right at home.
An area in which over the years I discovered a lot about myself on the path. I had numerous insights of all shapes and sizes. As well as birthing endless ideas of all shapes and sizes. I resolved many small issues and roadblocks in addition to finding solutions for big challenges and difficulties. Creativity flowed freely. There was lots of thinking, rethinking, formulating, tweaking, and reflecting on ideas and plans for the future. Decisions were made to implement structures, design tools, and take the necessary actions to reach goals and dreams. By far and most important was practicing mindfulness and being present while connecting to myself. 🙂
Nature has a way of naturally bringing you to the present moment. And as a person who tends to spend a lot of time in my head, nature truly nourishes me at all levels. Emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. I can easily say that every time I left that area I felt emotionally lighter, mentally recharged and focused, physically accomplished, and fully equipped spiritually. As well as inspired, ready for the day, and prepared to handle all that life had in store for me.
What can nature do for you?
I encourage you to think about what nature can do for you… Can it offer you what it so perfectly offers me? How could it fill you up emotionally? How could it clear you mentally? How could it support you physically? How could it equip you spiritually?…
